I had a terrible time with aphids last year in my garden, nothing we tried

worked with controlling the pests... after overwintering my pond plants in the

garage, I notice the new growth is already being attacked my aphids again! I am

already dreading a summer of aphid infestation!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tammy

I believe you can go to home depot or any place like that and buy lady

bugs, they will eat the aphids. Or just mix ivory soap, liquid for

dishes, with water and spray the plants with that.

try the soap but add garlic and some hot pepper, the soap is actually a sticker

and you want something like the garlic or cayenne to taste bad to the aphid/ the

ladybug thing usually doesn't work as well because they fly off in patterns that

are instinctual...

In years back we used ivory soap diluted for aphids but more a solution for

house plants as washes right off

Many better options:

Neem oil.one of the wonders of India is a healing oil that is used more here

as a organic insecticide or repellant as bugs will not eat anything with it

on.

You can find the industrial Neem 70% with emulsifier at most garden supply

places and does no harm to plant or add toxin to eatable food.

Used in medicine and beauty in India and have the pure pressed available in

my carrier oil selection on my site. Good alternative to " Deet " mosquito

-bug repellants as are other oils including catnip.

Yes your cats are smart they know the catnip frees them of parasites and

they roll in the catnip.. Animal smarts..farmers and hunters will tell you

that cattle and Dear love Sea Salt with the minerals.and of course we remove

them and the nutrition and then take supplements and watch our sodium..Read

up on Himalaya Salt for Food.Dead Sea for Body..a real secret of health,

beauty and skin disorders..

See Neem oil At garden center for spray (this is an industrial grade

optimized for insect controlling content)

As used in India for medicine and beauty for 1000s years, please read about

other health benefits of Neem in carrier oils on site for pure Neem with all

nature benefits.

Google and read ~ see " most significant find in US agriculture dept study "

and you will see same garden products sold on internet as well.

This the most organic and being oil based enduring cure..Only needing to

spray new growth that is unprotected.

I believe a quart for near $10 makes very many gallons emulsified in

sprayer
