Guest guest
Is there anything to add to hot steam that would help clear up swollen nasal passages- thanks
Guest guest
My daughter has sinus disease, so here's what we do... you can try Vicks in the hot steam, but not everyone likes the menthol smell. You can also try adding salt to the water. On top of many warm mist humidifiers in the house, my daughter also uses the Sinus Rinse by NeilMed, also the makers of the Netti Pot. Use warm distilled water and one pkg of salt and follow the directions. When her sinuses are still having difficulties, I will take some lubricating jelly on a cotton swab and rub the inside of her nostrils 2-3 times a day. But keeping the overall humidity level in your home up around 50% or higher will cure dry swollen nasal passages. Also keep in mind that allergy season is here, for most of us, and it may be contributing to your swollen sinuses. Good luck! , " doglover894 " <doglover894 wrote: > > Is there anything to add to hot steam that would help clear up swollen nasal passages- thanks >
Guest guest
Hi, I think I read this option here and it makes a lot of sense and that is to suck ice which should help with inflammation the same as it would for any other part of your body. Guest guest
[After the neti pot] A finger-swipe of coconut oil works great inside dry nostrils, and there's always the possibility that it might help keep bad germs at bay, as some say... , " ride4cf " <ride4cf wrote: > > > My daughter has sinus disease, so here's what we do... you can try Vicks in the hot steam, but not everyone likes the menthol smell.
