It's not Obama, and it probably isn't his Health and Human Services secretary. Both are lay persons effectively, and they listen to their MD advisors, who are brainwashed by Big Pharma and educationally handicapped by their education at med school, and by med journals since then. All med journals in this country are totally controlled by Big Pharma advertising. None dare to write favorable articles or even " scientific " information about anything except drugs. It's the FDA and the CDC. Here's were the real problems are. First of all, both are completely controlled by Big Pharma. The board members who approve of new drugs are controlled by a majority on the board that either work for Big Pharma or who are getting paid by Big Pharma. This board controls the FDA completely, and that means that Big Pharma gets what it wants. Recently the CDC woman in charge of vaccines at the CDC changed jobs, going over to a vaccine maker at a megadollar salary,presumably for services rendered during this recent phony scare of a " manufactured " virus called H1N1. There are only a few members of Congress and the Senate who really know about supplements and about Big Pharma, but theya re way outnumbered by those who only think about re-election and Big Pharma hands out a lot of needed re-electron money. As is obvious, Big Pharma and their lobbies and control of MD's and the FDA and the CDC that need to be blamed, and changed. The law that the Supreme Court recently overturned makes it even harder for we who know about supplements to keep them.
