Guest guest
Hi Deborah, Many years ago, I stopped contributing to any " money-making " charities. I found out that most of the money raised doesn't go to research for the particular disease or problem, but to raise more money for the people at the top. Remember what happened to the March of Dimes when Salk found the polio vaccine? 25,000 people were out of work the next year, and the biggest " charity " was out of business. Every charity knows that story and is very careful never to fund any research that " might " even cure their disease. I have a simple therapy that can prevent autism, and have written to all the big " charities " presently making millions from autism. None have ever responded. This prevention of autism involves simple vitamin C, from which I get no money. I'll give it to any charity that will fund the testing to prove it, but since it will cause the same result as Salk's vaccine, none will touch it. About 25 Years ago, I married a diabetic, and found simple therapies using plain vitamins that dramatically help diabetic persons to avoid neuropathy and retinopathy, the primary worst side effects of diabetes. I wrote several letters to the chairman and to the figurehead " Mary Tyler Moore " of the American Diabetic Assn offering my findings free. No answers ever. I wrote several letters years ago to Dear Abby, when she was rabid on the subject of Herpes, particularly venereal type.. By taking a simple amino acid (Lysine), most people can prevent the infectious stage from coming out. Since it is estimated that 20% of the population has this disease, this prevents the further spread. No cure has been found. Again, no response. The American Cancer " charity " has never funded any real research to find a cure pr prevention, but contents itself with making money as do all others. As far as I can see, virtually all such money making schemes are not really trying to do anything except make money out of a disease. Up to 90% of the money raised goes to salaries at the top, and to expenses of money raising. (And fooling the free workers into working). The worst part is that there are many people working and donating and giving time to such who are honest and really trying to help who are being " used " by these " charities " for free labor without pay to make more money for those at the top. You are a good example, and you are waking up. Good for you. I hope you find what you are looking for. At 83, I'm still fighting. As an Orthomolecular psychologist working at Alternate Health therapies, I was called a quack 30 years ago, but now called a " guru " by many, and I have the satisfaction of having helped a whole lot of people to better health. While I'm far from rich in money, I am in ego satisfaction, and to me that's even better. The windmills are getting easier to fight. My website is full of free Alternate Health advice just to help people. -- Phil Bate PhD http://drbate.com - Free Alternate Health Advice Neuroliminal Training (NT) solves allergy stress causing mental problems ADD to Autism, Insomnia to depression & more Without dangerous/addictive drugs

Guest guest
Amen, Dr Bate!!! I struggled silently ~ for a VERY SHORT while - about feeling less-than-charitable toward these charities, particularly Susan G. Komen's Race to Put Money in Their Own Bank Account. Every time I see that pink ribbon, and that some companies' products benefit the foundation, I really just want to scream ~ they're blue-ribbon at separating us from our money - period. Their marketing genius has the country so snowed, it makes me sad to see how gullible we are as a society. , Dr Bate <drbate wrote: > > Hi Deborah, > > Many years ago, I stopped contributing to any " money-making " charities. > I found out that most of the money raised doesn't go to research for the > particular disease or problem, but to raise more money for the people at > the top... Guest guest
I used to feel obliged to donate when canvassers drove all the way up to my rural place. Now they get a polite, short lecture instead of money. If I feel flush next year I may donate some relevant books to the library.
