Guest guest
Hi Cynthia, Maybe I should clairify on my comment about the " God-Almighty Dollar " ................ I use that as a direct metaphor menaing that all these people are interested in is " MONEY " and nothing else. Maybe I should've used the other phrase I'm used to using: " The Corporate Greed-Monger mentality " . Any way ya look at it, big Pharmacopia doesn't care about anything else but the profit, how to make it, how to make more and then how to make it all. Paul As for the comments about " Christmas " ............... Thank you, no. My ancesters are " Viking " and I was brought up celibrating the 12 days of " YULE " , which by the way was around before Christmas. Sorry to piss off all the Christians but some of are not and to me that's ok too. I do not disrespect you or anyone else for believing or worshiping in a different way. To me it's called................we all " CO EXIST " on planet earth. BTW: Wasn't the Birth of Jesus Christ ORIGIONALLY IN THE SPRING before it was MOVED to Dec. 25th? Oh yeah, Happy New Year ye'all , " judyselzer " <sagebrush wrote: > > Loved your response, agree with every thing you said! > Well done! > j > - > Cynthia > > Thursday, December 24, 2009 7:06 AM > RE: Re: Big Pharma Misdeeds: a answer to........ > > > > Kudos to you Paul! Guest guest
It always makes me laugh when I see some put complaints on their posts/emails about what time of year it Really is..... In reference to only Christian beliefs as if it is the Only Correct faith (I understand it is to them & that is fine). They need to go read a History Book to find out when their " Savior " was Really Born & Why the date was Really Changed, because it was Changed. If you think about it, they are really celebrating a Lie because this time of year is Not when he was born! And the comment: " That's another thing, it's not Happy Holiday, it's not Winter Holiday, it's Merry Christmas! Always has been and always will be. We celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ on the 25th of December. Damn the politically correct, IT IS WHAT IT IS!! " Actually that's an Incorrect statement, just ask those who celebrate family customs that Pre-Date Christianity! Such as was mentioned your Viking ancestors!!! Please, Educate Yourself People! Go read a History Book for goodness sakes & Learn Something & stop spreading Ignorance....Please! I do understand some would rather be oblivious to Truth.... & this again may be the case. If this was to harsh for some, Sorry. No one made you read it other than yourself so deal with it. , " Happy Soaper " <pdlortz wrote: > > > Hi Cynthia, > > Maybe I should clairify on my comment about the " God-Almighty > Dollar " ................ > > I use that as a direct metaphor menaing that all these people are > interested in is " MONEY " and nothing else. Guest guest
Very well said. I consider myself a Christian, but I do not celebrate " Christmas " as a holy day. It's not --- it's a man-made holiday - you will not find Christmas mentioned in Bible. Guest guest
As an agnostic who was raised in the episcopal church, and sang in the choir, but began to think and read history before maturity, I have to agree with those who disagreed with the comment " It's always Merry Christmas " . Unfortunately there are so many Christians, who proclaim their faith, but are so prejudiced and uneducated and who do practice the moderation that history tells us Jesus did. Not only was his actual birthday moved to December 25th to match a minor winter holiday, but the calendar has been changed at least once since then. That does not really matter, as if we want to celebrate his birth any time or date, we can do so, at least the moderate persons can. The founders of the US took extraordinary pains to try to separate church and state, but there are too many so-called " Christians " who want to have their religion the only one. That is a huge mistake. -- Phil Bate PhD http://drbate.com - Free Alternate Health Advice Neuroliminal Training (NT) solves allergy stress causing mental problems ADD to Autism, Insomnia to depression & more Without dangerous/addictive drugs
