Hi I am new to the group.

I am living in Alaska the past two years and in the winter have developed

chronic sinus problems. From serious conjestion to constant infections and am

looking for natural methods to help my sinuses.

I too live in AK (going on 18 years now) and what works for most people here is

to irrigate the sinuses frequently with a netti pot or something similar (I use

a big syringe that blocks the nostril on one side and push gently (slowly). I

used a product called ClearZ that was a nasal spray that was used several times

a day. It worked very well, the drawback is that it can be expensive over time.

The Netti is inexpensive an economical, you can make your own solution with

baking soda, salt and warm water. Then Netti takes some practice at first to

remember to breath :o) It's interesting that I personally have had less sinus

trouble since living here than any where else, but some years they are not

cooperative :o)Very cold air and air conditioning give me headaches and

irrigation helps surprisingly quickly. I hope you get the relief you need.

Alaska is no fun if you are in pain. :o) Mary
