Guest guest
Could someone tell me what would be the natural way to control high cholesteral and high triglycerides. My future son-in-law is only 19 yrs old and and some blood tests done, at my insistance because he is unusually tired, and complains about his stomach hurting about 4 or 5 days out of the week. He got some of the resuls back and the chol and trig came back really high. He has a dr. appt this afternoon to see what else if anything was found. I have heard some awful things abour the statin drugs and he being so young, I really don't think that would be the answer. I hope the first option would be for him to try to change his diet. He does eat a lot and I mean a lot of cheese on everything, so Im sure that doesn't help his chol level. I still don't know if these things would cause all the stomach pain, which is what sent him to the dr in the first place. I am going with him to the dr, to make sure he " hears " everything said. most adults don't, and I don't think that a teenager will listen either. Since he will be my son-in-law one day, I would like to do all I can to help him. Thank you for anything you can share. Sonja
Guest guest
There may be a liver problem ..when you say his stomach hurts..you should try and pinpoint the actual location ..this will help in pinpointing the causation. It could actually be his liver hurting after ingesting some fats..it could be the actually stomach located more on the left side and it could also be some pancreatic problems. As with real estate..location ..location ..location. medusa sonjab wrote: > Could someone tell me what would be the natural way to control high cholesteral and high triglycerides. Guest guest
Thank you. I will ask specifically ask where he hurts. I know he had his appendix taken out four years ago. Steven is 19 yrs old. His parents didn't recognize the appendix problem and by the time he got to the hospital, the doctor told them in another hour he would have died. They did emergency surgery and he has a terrible scar from his naval on down. I often wonder if his insides there are strained due to his gaining some weight and not having the best eating pattern and the scaring from the surgery. I will ask him where specifically it is hurting. Sometime he feels sick to his stomach too, but mostly he complains of it hurting. I usually fix him some ginger tea, and put warm compresses on his stomach so he can sleep. Thank you again for your help.
