I use the deodorant crystals. They are aluminum-free-- made with alum, a very

different substance. I find them very effective and long lasting.

Apparently I am very sensitive to aluminum. Two different instances

where aluminum metal just barely scraped skin cells off the surface,

didn't get anywhere near bringing blood, and for *months* I had rough

irritated patches there.

 

The alum deodorant crystals -- one time I scraped (not all that hard)

the plastic holder down the skin of my 'pit, and that spot was

irritated and very sensitive for several years. So I am scared of

even that.
