Do you have problems with blood pressure, diabetes or heart abnormalities?

Inversion Tables

Does any one use an inversion table? We got one last night, which I used last

night as well as this morning. Last night I got a headache...perhaps I came up

too quickly. This morning I came up slowly. I got it hopefully to banish a

sciatica problem.

Thanks,

Jerri

Today, my back felt so good and I had more energy, after three days of using

this just for a couple of minutes three times a day that I decided to move

furniture and take a 30 minute hike in the woods. A couple of hours later the

sciatica started acting up again but is better now.

Time will tell.

Jerri

An inversion table looks much like an exercise machine. You lie on it and

invert your body (head down) to varying degrees. You can hang totally upside

down. It stretches your body using gravity. Your feet are locked in. A lot of

people swear by them for back problems and neck problems. After just a few

times I can see why.

I've had sciatica off and on for ten years. It started when I was at gym using

the leg press. Yoga would keep it at bay most of the time, but if I didn't keep

up yoga asanas or if I lifted or moved furniure, etc., it would come back.

I've only been hanging totally upside down for 1 - 2 minutes at a time, which

really helps. You should google and read up on them. I was trying to find

someone else who uses one to compare notes. There are certain medical

conditions where you shouldn't use them.

I thought about taking a picture of my husband using it last night and putting

it on my blog. I will soon. He has no problem doing head stands in yoga. This

is the headstand without the pressure of holding yourself up. I also read about

yoga slings. You will also have to google the yoga slings to see for yourself.
