Guest guest
I have read that vit C absorbs better if you take baking soda with it. I had rather not take the baking soda as it has aluminum Would calcium work just as well?
Guest guest
i've read that baking soda can cause some type of a serious stomach problem. My guess would be that calcium might neutralize the vit. c. --- On Thu, 9/17/09, carolyn91012 <tx30323 wrote: carolyn91012 <tx30323 Vit C question Thursday, September 17, 2009, 8:05 AM I have read that vit C absorbs better if you take baking soda with it. Guest guest
The key to absorption lies in the form of Vit C you are taking, rather than any " solvents " you are adding. There is a plethora of well-researched data on this in any reputable medical site. Guest guest
V-c is better absorbed when taken with foods high in iron..... --- On Thu, 9/17/09, carolyn91012 <tx30323 wrote: carolyn91012 <tx30323 Vit C question Thursday, September 17, 2009, 5:05 AM I have read that vit C absorbs better if you take baking soda with it. Guest guest
Hi All:) Actually, this isn't quite true. IRON is absorbed better when combined with Vit c-rich foods. Convering the ferric form of iron into the ferrous state, thereby making it available for absorptionan at the alkaline PH of the intestines. For example, adding a glass of orange juice gives a two to three-fold increase in nonhere iron absorption. In others words, drink some juice to get your iron. Conversely, Vit C is an anti-oxidant. It's bio-availability is dramatically reduced when consumed with iron-rich foods. So drink your OJ several hours before your bacon and eggs;) Source: Nutrition,Exercise, and Health, Frank Katch and William McArdie, pg. 123, 1993. ________________________________ Max <orange_stuff99 Friday, September 18, 2009 5:47:50 AM Re: Vit C question V-c is better absorbed when taken with foods high in iron..... --- On Thu, 9/17/09, carolyn91012 <tx30323 (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net> wrote: carolyn91012 <tx30323 (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net> Vit C question Thursday, September 17, 2009, 5:05 AM I have read that vit C absorbs better if you take baking soda with it. Guest guest
I can't find the site where I saw that Vit C is absorbed better when taken with baking soda. It might have been in a blog. If I find the site I will post it. Here is something I did find. It seems to be from Dr. Pauling's book. I have discovered two infallible ways to make vitamin C work against a head cold. In Pauling's HOW TO LIVE LONGER it is mentioned that vitamin C introduced in solution up the nasal passage is 1000 times more concentrated in the sinuses than vitamin C injested by mouth. Using this idea I have created a vitamin C saline solution with 4 g vitamin C. Emptied a nasal spray bottle, and refilled it >with the 4 g vitamin C/saline solution. And begun spraying the vitamin C concentrated mix up my nostrils, say every 20 >minutes. Within 4 hours, symptoms are usually gone. If the 1000 times report is accurate, then 4 g (4000 mg) X 1000 equals 4 million " units " of vitamin C (equivalent of 4 million mg by mouth) The second method (unecssary if the first method is used) is to take 8 g of vitamin C every half hour by mouth until symptms are gone. You are correct that the earlier these protocols are started, the quicker relief can be had.
Guest guest
Can you give us a recipe on how to make your vitamin C saline solution. I'd like to have some on hand as I don't plan on getting vaccinated nor will I let my children get vaccinated. Thanks. Guest guest
I do not use a saline vitamin C solution, but the cheapest ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). I get it from Costco, but Walmart also has a similar - 500 one gram tablets. I have not used baking soda with vitamin C, so cannot comment on it's usage. If you have a problem with this form, you can go to almost any health food store and get either sodium ascorbate, or calcium ascorbate in pills, capsules, or in powder form. The sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) would seem to be the same as a sodium ascorbate, as then it is higher pH or neutral. People who have problems with this form often have a corn allergy. Not all that uncommon. I recently had a very sick sneezing cat that almost died on the vet's antibiotic shots and liquid that had to be " forced " down his throat. This " trauma " is just now going away. I then started to mix up canned cat food with small amounts of powdered yeast and garlic (for flea protection), and a small amount of colloidal silver. This is mixed up, and my cats like it and eat it easily. The next day, we continued with this, and it cured the cat. He is now back to his pestly and lovable self. If anyone is interested in colloidal silver, it is best homemade, and doing so is quite simple. It requires about a $30 initial outlay, and from then on, it costs pennies a quart. If you make it yourself, you will make it right with low voltage, and be sure it works. Some have complained about that bought off the web or in shops. Full details on making the unit to do this are given on www.drbate.com/antibiotics.html. Dr Mercola claims that CS works on the swine flu, but this not confirmed. Nest time, I get any flu, I'll try it out. )I know that vitamin C works as I've had it a month or so ago. It is the only antibiotic that no bacteria has developed immunity to. CS is virtually the only one that works on staph infections. Again, 1 MD in a thousand even knows about it. Guest guest
Hi. In regard to colloidal silver, my husband got sick with a terrible flu and my son and I were spared because we both take the silver. I replaced an antibiotic given to my son, following a Splenectomy, with the silver and it's been a blessing. Thank you for the link on how we can affordably make our own silver. I was always a bit unsure how to go about it.
