Guest guest
I have a 3 yr old boxer that we got from t he rescue, so we have no history. She seems to have ear itching as she shakes he ears frequently, which a few months ago gave her a blood clot in the outer ear and had to have surgery. I was told she probably has allergies, but it costs a few hundred dollars to check. Is there another way to check for allergies or to get rid of them? She also has itchy paws, as she chews on them too. I feed her lamb and rice as I was told she might have an allergy for chicken. I would appreciate any suggestions. Any homeopathy I can use and have not tried yet? I tried the vinegar spray on her paws but cannot say it made any difference. Thank you for a response. Guest guest
Do the treatment from http://www.nzymes.com/pc/. The program works! I used it for my German Shepherd, and it cured her problem. The vet told me all they could do was to control the symptoms. Nzymes also have a recommended list of foods - be sure to use one of the brands they recommend or you can prepare your dog's diet at home (which is the best method). The program may sound expensive, but it is affordable. When I took Maggie to the vet - I paid nearly $500 to be told they would control the symptoms! They have very good customer service. You can call them on the phone and discuss the treatment, etc. Irene On Tue, Sep 15, 2009 at 11:36 PM, ruthsmily <ruthsmily wrote: > I have a 3 yr old boxer that we got from t > he rescue, so we have no history. Guest guest
I've had this problem with my beagle recently. It's probably outdoor seasonal allergies. He itches like a mad man and even though he's not chewing at his paws, that's a classic signal of allergies. We've been giving him Benadryl as that's what his vet recommended. 25 mg, 3 times a day. And sometimes I miss so it's not even that much, but it's helped. We were just at the vet Tuesday in fact. I don't know of a natural alternative to Benadryl, so can't help you there. But I am pretty confident from the symptoms you described it's allergies. Paula
Guest guest
What homeopathic remedies did you try and based on which symptoms? How long has this been going on? Guest guest
Animals can often be easily desensitized to allergens by simply massaging several acupressure points on the animal. You can also apply the acupressure to yourself as a surrogate for the animal while repeating " <animal's name> allergies and sensitivities to <substance> " . Have used these techniques many times with great success on people and pets. The acupressure works well for all kinds of allergies, airborne, food, chemical, etc. If you go to www.EmoFree.com and type " dog allergies " in the search engine, you will find many articles on how to do this for a variety of dogs' allergies and people's allergies to dogs. You can download the free manual to teach yourself how to do this. Best wishes on a happy, healthy dog!
