Guest guest
Hi all, I took a nasty fall on a slippery step 10 days ago. Fell to the ground really hard on my tailbone. Couldn't even get up without help. I think I cracked my tailbone. Weird thing is, there was absolutely no bruising. But, it still REALLY hurts especially sitting down and standing up, getting in and out of my car, and things like sneezing. Although it's not as bad as the day after it happened, it doesn't seem to be getting better. I'm not a fan of allopathic doctors, except when absolutely necessary. I'm sure they'll x-ray me, give me pain meds, prescribe anti-inflammatories, etc. All stuff I'm just not into and I doubt there's much other than time that heals a cracked tailbone. Is there any reason I " should " see a doctor? I'm almost 54, if that makes any difference! I know all the natural things to do for pain and inflammation, and I practice EFT, etc. Just want to feel confident that I'm not missing something that a Dr. could do (other than give me pain meds which I don't want.) Thanks for any advice! Michelle

Guest guest
Hi Michele Right you're! what the doc will do is to put you on painkillers, which weaken the bone marrow, deteriorate stomach systems etc, and surely without x-rays they can''t move a step ahead for the condition. So Michele! take Hypericum 200, 2 doses without late, one at bed time daily. Your immune system is much better, I comprehend so, that's why you have improved rather than the first day. And you'll get it improved more if you take this homeopathic medicine. If there remains some residual, I'm opened. Fell to the ground really hard on my tailbone. Couldn't even get up without help. I think I cracked my tailbone. Michelle, sorry to hear that. Try Reflexology. I once gave a series of treatments to a young woman for totally different issues. After the first time her tailbone, that had been damaged in a car accident years earlier, stopped hurting. This was simply an unexpected side effect. One of the joys of working the whole, instead of the parts! You can either find a practitioner or do it yourself or ask a loved one to help you. The new book by the fabulous Kunz couple is their best one yet. Anyone can learn how to help themselves or others from it. Reflexology for Life can be found at this website http://reflexology-research.com And also: my friend Magda makes an incredible liniment from local herbs that helped me big time when I was recovering from a broken ankle years ago. Instant pain relief through natural forms of aspirin from young birch leaves and poplar buds, speedy recovery for broken bones through comfrey leaves, and more. Comfrey was called " knitbone " for good reason. I cannot recommend that product highly enough. I gave a jar to my sister in law when I was in Holland in May. Her recovery from a nasty multiple fractured ankle was stalling. The liniment did its usual magic on her too. It was a godsend in the weeks after the cast came off and I had to get back to work, on my feet all day. I'd limp into the shower in pain, apply the liniment, feel instant relief, and be pain-free all day. Some days I might have to re-apply by 5 PM but that was it. Great stuff. Find it here: http://flyinghandsfarm.addr.com Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com (just my blog) http://wildhealing.net (great place for bulk Camu)

Guest guest
Hi Michelle- Oh no! I feel for you! I did this a few years ago (a folding lawn chair collapsed throwing me into the concrete coccyx first). It was SO painful, the most pain I've ever been in. No you're missing nothing by not seeing an M.D. All they'll do is confirm or deny there's a break (by exposing you to x-ray radiation which you don't need) and like you said, prescribe a bunch of drugs you don't want to take. Plus, it's not like they can put a cast on your butt! (sorry, trying to lighten the situation) What I did: Regular chiropractic visits (w/an A.K Applied Kinesiology chiro not a " conventional one " ) who also used a cold laser on the area. I also took a natural supplement by Standard Process called Osteoplex. And did energy medicine work (in the EFT vein but it's called BEST) too. And just time and " staying off of it " . I remember eating standing up and sleeping on my side for months. I'm sorry to report that it took over a year before I felt zero pain there from sitting. But there's no reason that you won't fare better. I actually did get an x-ray which showed I had fractured my sacrum rather than the coccyx (or where they meet to be exact) and I'm guessing that is what prolonged my healing. Best of luck to you, Janet " holisticmenopause " <michelle wrote: > > Hi all, > > I took a nasty fall on a slippery step 10 days ago. Fell to the ground really hard on my tailbone. Mine bulged inwards and was irritating the spinal cord. An epidurail was highly recommended. I went to an " old school " chiropractor. He adjusted my tailbone and solved my dilemna. Worse case scenario is chiro may have to go in through rectum to adjust tailbone. It's easier and more comfortable than it sounds and no epidurial side affects. Best of luck. > Hi all, > > I took a nasty fall on a slippery step 10 days ago. Fell to the ground really hard on my tailbone. Couldn't even get up without help.
