For bladder infections, cranberry juice will do the trick.

You'll need to drink a lot of it though - and it needs to be unsweetened and not

from concentrate, i.e. the expensive stuff.

The more severe the symptoms, the more you'll have to drink.

I typically buy 3-4 of the 32oz bottles for a later stage infection. If you

catch it early, you might only have to drink one or two over the course of a few

days to get rid of the infection.

It's not very tasty (at least I don't think it is). Mixing some stevia in will

cut down on the bitterness.

Keep drinking some of the juice for a couple of days or so even after you get

relief, otherwise the bacteria could start to multiply again.

For women, an easy way to avoid getting these kinds of infections is to always

urinate soon after sex.

Hope this helps.

How are you distinguishing a bacterial from a urinary tract infection? A UTI is

a bacterial infection, perhaps you mean the bacteria are prolific in a different

area of your body?

First thing is to increase your fluid intake.

Also, completely abstain from acid producing foods, namely anything white as in

sugar or wheat.

Buy cranberry juice, not safeway brand (as in with sugar), but more like knudsen

or another good quality brand that does not dilute too severely (santa cruz

brand is not good however nice their packaging may appear). Drink liberally.

Most herbs work through diuresis, cranberry however will actually reduce the

proliferation in the bladder. Blueberry is also helpful, so you can alternate if

it doesn't resolve quickly.

If you are constipated as well, which is oft the case, then get moving as it

were, all residual toxicity in the area will contribute.

Lastly, get sweaty exercise, this helps tremendously.

If you google uti herb, you will find many a website that lists herbs that are

thought to be supportive, but again cranberry should be your first and most

diligent choice to resolve the symptoms thoroughly.

Hope this helps,

Tymothy
