Guest guest
Oh wow! People in winter climates know how precious every fresh green leaf becomes when the days get dark. I have on occasion planted beets in pots, just to have a few greens to put on a sandwich. I have taken parsley plants inside, where they languished. But it never occurred to me to just start some lettuce in a pot! The amazing Ingrid Naiman has a new website devoted to home-based food production. This link goes to a page on growing fresh greens indoors in containers. http://www.landscapingrevolution.com/sprouts/watering_harvesting.html Enjoy, be inspired, be empowered! Ien in the Kootenays, definitely a winter country http://freegreenliving.com (blog) http://wildhealing.net (online super foods store) http://wildwholefoods.net (my old friend AFA algae)
