beyond sprouts: growing food indoors

Oh wow!

 

People in winter climates know how precious every fresh green leaf becomes when

the days get dark. I have on occasion planted beets in pots, just to have a few

greens to put on a sandwich.

I have taken parsley plants inside, where they languished.

But it never occurred to me to just start some lettuce in a pot!
