Under the current US health care system, the uninsured suffer in pain each

day. Conservatives do not care about anyone but themselves. Yes, we in the

US are refused medical care even at the ER. The last trip we made to an ER

was for my husband that needed stitches due to a cut - this was afterhours -

no other option in our community. Yes, we got to see a doctor that told us

he could use stitches, but it was too expensive to do in the ER. He didn't

ask if we could pay for it. Told us to keep it clean and walked out. For

this great service we were charged $600.00 for no treatment. They did not

even clean the wound or place a dressing on it. Yes, our current health

system in the US is great - why change such a wonderful system.

 

If you have private insurance in the US, you can receive necessary

healthcare. If you are uninsured, you don't that option.

Are you actually using this as an arguement? That is ironic to me. They are

trying to offer alternative treatments that may cure people. In this country we

frown on " alternative " treatments like acupuncture and Osteopathy and opt for

drugs only. These drugs more often do more damage instead of helping. Just look

at all of the people in this country addicted to pain meds. At least the UK

wants to find a REAL solution to the back pain. They don't want to just cover it

up with treatments that may or may not work  and may or may not last, or

end drugging people into dependency. If trying to find real solutions to

physical problems is an issue then I am totally confused.
