This is a fantastic work of the highest caliber, we are very excited that we have reached this level of collaboration. http://DigitalArt.LA The LACDA Top 40 exhibit at the California Museum of Photography is running through August 22. The reception was very lively, and the additional screening of the LACDA videos was so well received that Reggie Wollery of the museum informed me that he will put them on display on a flat screen through the run of the exhibit. All of the videos in this collection were culled from the entire mass of entrants to last years DigitalArt.LA. This selection of videos will also screen at the Laznia Center for Contemporary Art in Danzig, Poland in 2010. http://artsblock.ucr.edu LACDA arranged for Elliot Anderson's series " Average Landscapes " that was exhibited at the M.H. de Young Museum of Art to be featured at Pharmaka Gallery as part of DigitalArt.LA. Reception August 13. http://arts.ucsc.edu/faculty/eanderson/ LACDA director Rex Bruce juried an all digital exhibit at the Topanga Canyon Gallery running June 22 - July 19. On Saturday July 18 there will be a free Digital Art and Photography Forum from 10-11:30am http://www.topangacanyongallery.com LACDA artist Tiffany Trenda performed her spellbinding work at L.A. County Museum of Art just a few months back. This incredible work will be performed at DigitalArt.LA., August 13-15. http://lacma.org An estimated 3,000 people attended the July Downtown Artwalk. Center for Digital Art arranged an exhibit of artworks by DEVO founder Mark Mothersbaugh at the Grammy Museum, as well as a retrospective screening of their videos beginning with the 1970's 16mm " Mongoloid " directed by artist Bruce Connors and ending with " Don't Shoot (I'm a Man) " their latest state of the art digital video. County Museum of Art. This happens in conjunction with the DigitalArt.LA Expo, the Downtown Art Walk, and the Downtown Film Festival-Los Angeles and a screening at AT & T Theater.
