Guest guest
First, they had a problem finding the vein. This isnt unusual for me. Then the blood started coming out slowly. Then it clotted. Could it have clotted from something they did or is my blood thick? I'm 52, and this hasnt happened before. Thanks for your input
Guest guest
To dog lover, sounds pretty much as if you need more answers..which I would waste no time in doing... I am not a medical person, but I have 2 sons wirh " too much blood " and they donate ...I do not remember if " thickness " was an issue, but I would start with a bunch of questions.. Guest guest
Mine did the same thing the last time I tried to have my blood drawn at the Drs office. It was weird. I thought the nurse had done something wrong. I was quite paranoid for about a week. I even took pictures as the area formed a lump and a rash. I bruised but am fine now. It's been over two weeks. I ended up going to a real lab where I know the person who draws blood and know that she is fast and effecient. She used the other arm. That went smoothly. --- On Wed, 7/8/09, doglover894 <doglover894 wrote: doglover894 <doglover894 Blood clot in arm during blood donation Wednesday, July 8, 2009, 8:49 AM First, they had a problem finding the vein. Guest guest
When one of my sons began donating, the first time took too long, like his blood was thick/slow. I'm not sure they got a pint. Anyway, they suggested he drink some water for at least a couple days before he knew he was giving, and that's worked well for him. (He was really concerned about " thick blood " after the first time.) Just a thought, Chris in NC , " doglover894 " <doglover894 wrote: > > First, they had a problem finding the vein.
