Is pulse and heart beat the same thing

When you take your pulse on your wrist or neck, is the same as how many beats

per minute that your heart is beating? If you pulse is 90 on your wrist, is

your heart beating 90 per minute? If you have AFIB, can you tell how fast your

heart is beating?
