Guest guest
I have very healthy teeth--hard, no cavities--but they are yellowish and I would love for them to be whiter. I am tempted to do the bleaching treatments with carbamide peroxide. However, I'm unsure about the safety of doing this. Surely this stuff is not good for the body? Or, is it harmless/nontoxic? Wondering, mountainlady
Guest guest
Hi Mountainlady, There were conversations on this quite a while ago, and you might find them if you're diligent in your search of the archives, but to the best of my recollection the concensus was either use hydrogen peroxide in some diluted solution (don't remember the details, sorry!) or baking soda, or some combination of both - OR be happy with the health of your teeth and don't worry about the color! I'm sure others will respond with more details. I'm sorry I can't remember the specifics. Guest guest
I use a bit of baking soda and regular table salt. I pour a little of each into a small cup - dip my toothbrush in mixture and brush away. I can tell a difference right away. I will use this combo at my bedtime teethbrushing for 2 or 3 days in a row about once a month or so. However, I'm sure if a person had heart issues they should probably leave the salt out.
