Hi again, Well now I am thinking and freaking, my little boys drink a

fair amount of cows milk. Scary now that I have read so much about

it. I have seen quite a few soy milk makers that of course also make

the others too ie: rice, almond and whatever others you can make. My

question is, I have also read soy milk is not good either something

about the protein not being digestable and such? Ok so maybe not soy,

then there's almond is this good for a 3 and 4 year old. Also, they

like chocolate milk can I get or make something to put in what ever

milk I make to make it seem chocolatey, that is not really bad for

them? Also I am looking into getting a juicer and making my own

peanut butter. Wouldn't homemade raw organic peanut butter be

healthy? Or would it just taste too nasty? Also, where can I buy all

the herbs for the total nutrition powder? Is it real expensive to

make? I have been reading about juicers and nutrition and there was

one place I read that juicing wheatgrass it really healthy? OK well

that is enough for now LOL

P.S. oppps I forgot to ask where is the formula for the huff and

puff?? If I have missed the message with it sorry, there have been

alot and I have also started at the beginning of the message archive

and have only gotten to message 1923. No the archive skips through

only keeps certain messages so I have not actually read that many LOL

Hi Vikki-

You can get most ingredients at http://www.herbalcom.com I buy a lot of stuff from them and they are quite good.

 

As far as milk products, I don't know....I don't drink much milk....your three and four year olds can get all the nutrients they need from other sources such as the total nutrition and other fruits and veggies.

 

I make a sprouted almond butter that is fantastic. You need to soak some almonds in water (distilled preferred) overnight. Empty the water and sprout them for the remaining part of the day. Then you need to dry them out. I use a dehydrator. After they are dried, I grind them into almond flour using a coffee grinder. Then add some vanilla extract, cinnamon, and safflower oil and you have sprouted, raw almond butter. I bet your little ones would love that!!!

 

Juicing wheat grass is extremely healthy for you, but you need a special kind of juicer. Not sure what it is called....I juiced 3 granny smith apples to add to my total nutrition drink this morning and it was awesome!!

 

Huff and Puff Formula: 1/2 Lobelia (seed and pod) and 1/2 Mullein. Tincture in 50/50 blend of apple cider vinegar and alcohol.

Yum! Thanks for this recipe. I really like almond butter and was

wondering how to make it now that I can't buy the kind from the

I just posted the huff 'n puff formula to the files, and to update Rob's info, it's not 50/50 on the tincture base - it's 2/3 alcohol to 1/3 ACV. See the file.

Hi Vikki,

 

I think we all know how hard it is to make healthy diet changes later in

life, so the best thing you could do for your boys is to get them

switched over to healthy options right now. Get them off milk (big

discussion on this in the recent months, including the fact that all

milk contains PUS!) and onto sprouted almond milk or fresh organic

juices. Get them off the chocolate/sugar altogether.

 

I know this may be a drastic change, but it will be well worth it. I

think the trick is getting creative on the substitutes. Do some research

through cookbooks, ask people for their favorite recipes, etc. I really

wish that I had gotten into the healthy lifestyle earlier. My daughter

is 10 yrs old now and I don't have as much control over her diet as I

used to. She makes meals herself and is at friends' houses a lot. If I

could have gotten her to prefer the " healthy tastes " over the junk then

I wouldn't have to worry too much about it. Wouldn't it be great if she

would come home and say, 'Mom, I'm starving! Can you make me an avocado

salad? All they had for dinner last night was pizza!!! Ick!' LOL!!
