There are approx 66K messages in this forum.. but when I do an

archive search it only appears to be looking at about 100 postings.

Is there any way to access all the 66K.

Thanks, Ken

Yes! Our message archives is humongous and can seem daunting at times.

You just need to continue to hit the "Continue Search" button which will take you earlier and earlier into the list.

There is no way to access the entire 66K at one time.

Hi Ken,

when you enter a search, the search results show the related messages, and then there is a line above them that says:

"searched messages ....-..... of .....| Previous| Next."

Click on next for the search to search the next series of archived messages.

Sorry about that hon.

I shoulda been more specific.

You first go to "Messages".

Then you go to the "Search Archives" feature and put in the topic you wish to search for.

Then you keep on hitting the "Next" button until you find the article(s) you want.

It is a slow process due to the overall daunting size of our message archives, but there are some true gems in there that even I don't have copies of.

Many times in the past I wrote "articles" to the list with the intent of going back to copy the data to use in my published works.

Shouldn'a done that, cause I never did go back, and there are things back there that were invaluable, and I'll be damned if I know where they are now, and I simply do not have the time to search for them at this stage of the game.

If you truly need a comprehensive overlook on a subject, it is well worth the search though.

IE. All my writings on the subject of the Acid/Alkaline ratio are in there somewhars. LOL ;o)

Love,

Doc

Hi Dave,

You can't start from the beginning - the search always starts from the last message.

But then when you see the "Searched Messages" sign, next to it will be " |Previous|Next|". Click on the Next, and it will search the next lot of messages, and so on.
