Guest guest
I have read that Dr. Christopher recommends 1 tablespoon per cup of tea and Dr Schulze says 1 teaspoon per cup. This is quite a difference. Which is correct... Is it OK to take a teaspoon 3 times a day for preventative purposes. Will it harm you stomach lining. Thank you, Ken
Guest guest
Both are correct, or should I say that both are right but somewhat incomplete in their answers. Remember, Natural Healing is not rocket science. There are different strengths and types of Cayenne. A simple red cayenne chili pepper might only be 30,000 Scoville Heat Units whereas an African Bird may be as hot as 150,000 and an Habanero 250,000. It will not harm your stomach lining whatsoever though it can get painful and generate a lot of heat. :-) It will also stop a bleeding ulcer. I am ultra sensitive to Cayenne (I use the hottest Habanero) and even a little can give me the hiccups. For me a little goes a long way. For others, they can, and do drink it like water with no adverse effects. Some need more than others. Others like myself need less. The rule of thumb should be: 1. You'll never hurt yourself with it so don't be afraid to start off with a stronger dose if you wish. 2. However, that being said, starting in moderation and working up on a gradient scale is the best approach. 3. The exception to that is an emergency when you should pull out all the stops and go for the gusto. 4. Your best emergency dose should be in a tincture and could be as much as an ounce. Powdered dosages should be used in a health building or longer term corrective program and it is best to start off with a 1/2 teaspoon if using the hottest Habanero or up to a tablespoon of the lesser types depending on how brave you're feeling. :-) Hope that helps. Love, Doc PS. It is totally OK to take 3 teaspoons a day for preventative reasons. Guest guest
I can’t imagine 1 tablespoon of cayenne in one cup of tea. I don’t think a person could drink it. I just did five days of nothing but the Master Cleanse, and that mixture is 10 oz. water, 2 tablespoons organic maple syrup, 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice and 1/10 (one-tenth) of a teaspoon of cayenne. The 1/10th of a teaspoon was enough for me – I had to have a glass of cold water handy and swig a couple of mouthfuls after every few drinks of the lemon juice mixture. I doubt seriously if I could ever tolerate a tablespoon in 6-8 oz. of water. Guest guest
Hello All, I am new to this group and, for the most part, just a novice in the area of natural health. I wish I had gotten into this subject earlier buty, hey, I'm only 28; not quite ancient. Anyway, I hope some of you are prepared to be teachers because I will have a lot of basic questions. My first is what ailments, treatments, etc. is Cayenne used. I been reading these messages, but noone has stated why they were using this. Thanks and I hope to meet many of you along the way. Guest guest
Hi there, and welcome! I think the current cayenne thread started when someone asked about natural remedies for high blood pressure, and Doc responded with the garlic+cayenne. Then the question of dosage came up, and here we are! LOL! You can always use the " Thread " button on the top right portion of the Messages page in the to look back at a conversation. Guest guest
Hi Wendy, I started with a shake of cayenne in a cup of tea in Aug and by now I am definitely up to a tablespoon, that morning tea tastes pretty bland with less (and two or three others throughout the day). Guest guest
It has been said that a pinch of Ceyenne under the tongue will stop a heart attack instantly. -- In herbal remedies , " McGuiness " <ga_celt> wrote: > > > Hello All, > > I am new to this group and, for the most part, just a novice in the > area of natural health. Guest guest
You need more than that. A half an ounce of the hottest tincture is best.
