Hi!

I have a friend here who has had a miserable flu for the past couple

days. She hasn’t thrown up, but she’s continally nauseous. I just

gave her some ginger to suck on for the nausea, but I also want to get some

nutrition down her. What would be best? Sipping some broth maybe?

Thanks!

Carole

Fresh fruit or vegetable juice. Hot baths with epsom salt and eucalyptus oil would help to kill virus or bacteria. Also try to make total tonic,(in files) and have her take some every couple hours. Echinacea tincture also would help for immune system. Regards Jasmina

Thanks! Yes, she has been having fruit juice, Total

Tonic, and Echinacea. Veggie juice is a good idea, and I told her about

hot baths, but I didn’t think of the epsom salt and eucalyptus.

Does eucalyptus kill viruses and bacteria? I have just used it for

cleaning out my nasal passages.

Sipping some broth maybe?

Make some miso soup for her. It is very medicinal and great stuff. I had a friend who was nauseous for a week and couldn't eat anything. I made her some miso soup and she ended up gobbling down the whole pot and felt much better. Make it with lots of broth and some shredded veggies, but not many. (I used mugi miso).

If you have the Total Nutrition, that would be best, as that would supply her with the basic building blocks necessary for recovery.

Otherwise possibly the Potassium Broth? (see the files)

You’re probably right. I’ll give her the Total

Nutrition. The potassium broth I don’t have time to make right now, but

that would have been good. Thanks, Lisa!
