Guest guest
Thanks Doc! Glad you could find a bit of humor in such a ridiculous situation. It is a shame that it has practically come to that. More people really do need to lighten up. Life is already stressful enough...why do they go out of their way to add more tension? Well everyone, I did have a nice Christmas(that is what I celebrate), and more importantly, my daughter really enjoyed it. Hope you enjoyed the holidays as well! My husband gave me a great present...he told me that he wants to start eating healthier and taking better care of himself. He said that his new years resolution is to give up smoking, cut way back on his coffee, give up his soda, and learn to enjoy healthier foods. Now this is major, because I am talking about a man who lives off of the greasy foods out of the convenience store hot boxes. The whole change in attitude came about last week when I mentioned something about all of the garbage that he eats. He got offended, and basically critisized every healthy thing that I believe in. He told me that the health books that I read are written by a bunch of quacks. He said that the vitamins and herbs are a joke and a waste of money. He said that he believes in doing things the way that his family has been living all of these years. I reminded him that most of his faamily members have dropped dead in their 50s! He told me that he hates my whole wheat biscuits because they are hard and heavy...he likes the white fluffy ones smothered in gravy at the greasy diners. I told him that all they serve to him is bleached flour, salt, pepper, and MSG fried in lard and smothered in more of the same! Well, he left for work, and he ate his typical greasy gunk. Guess who came home, doubled over by the horrible stomach cramps? The pepto bismol that he had taken earlier for his intestinal discomfort had not helped-he said that he will never take it again. He dropped down on the living room floor, and begged me to give him something to help the burning in his stomach. Well, I opened a new bottle of organic aloe vera gel, and gave him 4 ounces. He griped, but he started sipping it. The pain instantly went away. Later on that day, I was spoon feeding him some plain yogurt with a little bit of honey. He avoided coffee for the next four days. I am sure that there are some other things that will help him as well, but this pig-headed man actually appologized to me for the nasty things that he has been saying to me over the years about healthy lifestyle. We will see what 2005 brings! So I met with my attorney yesterday, and on his advice (and after $1,200 in attorneys fees) I wish to say the following:

Guest guest
Wellllllllll with the war in Iraq and all the other tribulations happening on the planet at the moment, I felt a little Christmas cheer and levity was in order. :-) I had another cute one about Rudolf and the reindeer's union but misplaced it. If I can find it again, I'll post it. LOL Glad you enjoyed it. Love, Doc PS. Sounds like your DH is coming around. Sometimes a little scare like that is worth it. :-) Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.727-447-5282Doc - teresa herbal remedies Sunday, December 26, 2004 8:53 PM Herbal Remedies - Re: Season's Greetings Everyone (LEGAL :-) Thanks Doc!Glad you could find a bit of humor in such a ridiculous situation.
