about ointments-------water base or not?

i want to make an ointment ,and it must be breathable ,non clogging

of pores and without oil . i was thinking " K-Y jelly "

 

the reason why i choose this because i have read that it is water

based.

 

but i never tried it before-really never !

 

does anybody have any comments on this ?

 

is it sticky?

 

does it dry up quick?

 

how can i make a water base ointment for the scalp without doing harm

to it.

 

oils can clog the pores ,so can certain creams how would you do it?

Aloe Vera or gelatin would be suitable.
