Guest guest
Hi.... My opinion is that this is not a disease at all but symptoms of a toxic body . The ultimate handling is a whole body cleanse and diet changes.Get Doc's tape if you haven't already , and listen to it . You can consult with Doc after that . You should be taking Total Nutrition , Panther Piss ,Cal - Calm Tea and Vitamin E right now . The tape will lead you to some changes in diet . And be sure to go through our files . There is alot of data in there . Hope this helps...Mary O - " yannnubbins21 " <yannnubbins21 <herbal remedies > Thursday, December 09, 2004 6:12 PM Herbal Remedies - anyone know anything strong for pain > > > > In addition to insomnia, I have fibromyalgia in my back and arms. Guest guest
Fibromyalgia is caused by nerve damage; the pain that is felt is called neuropathic pain. The symptoms of this condition are similar to M.E. and if you go to the web sites that deal with M.E. You will find suggestions also for Fibromyalgia to help with pain as well as sleep problems. The websites give quite a lot of information I have this problem as well as M.E. because I have 2 spinal injuries; the nerve damage that was caused at that time has resulted in Fibromyalgia. The treatment that I have been given is unfortunately NOT herbal because herbal medicine does not work for me in this field, however below is a list of medication that is helpful; it reduces the pain but does not necessarily remove it. Pain relief: I take one tablet EACH of the top 2 up to 8 times per day. Dihydrocodeine up to 8 tablets per day Co-Proxamol up to 8 tablets per day Neurotin (Gabapentin) 300 mg 1 capsules x 2 at night (split doses) Neurotin (Gabapentin) 100 mg 2 capsules x 2 day time (split doses) Use the items below to help reduce pain:These are normally found in muscle but people with Fibromyalgia as well as those with M.E. have difficulty in assimilation of nutrients; the pain is because the muscles are tired. Co-enzyme Q10 up to 150 mg per day Creatine capsules 700 mg 1 capsule x 2 daily Amino Acids 1500 mg 1 tablet x 2 daily up to 6 tablets per day CAN be taken but I do not recommend that dose as this is supposed to be for athletes to use after work-outs. However it is up to you to see what works Relaxants: - These are also an important aid to pain relief. Robaxin: I take up to 3 tablets per night i.e. 1 tablet x 3 (split doses) Baclofen: I take up to 3 tablets per day (if necessary) i.e. 1 tablet x 3 (split doses) Diazapam 5 mg. when nothing else works. NB: Muscular relaxants are helpful but you need to USE all muscles otherwise they will get weaker I hope that this is helpful Marion --I -- herbal remedies 12/10/04 03:45:34 herbal remedies Herbal Remedies - fibromyalgia / anyone know anything strong for pain Hi.... Guest guest
Marion, Absolutely NO recommendations for allopathic medicine allowed on this list! Please refrain from doing so. If herbal hasn't worked for you, then you haven't done all. You would need to do a Full Body Cleanse, improve your nutrition and exercise for starters. I'm sure Doc could give you a full program that would CURE you! love Lisa de Haas Senior Moderator - Marion Ghosh herbal remedies Friday, December 10, 2004 5:48 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - fibromyalgia / anyone know anything strong for pain Fibromyalgia is caused by nerve damage; the pain that is felt is called neuropathic pain. Guest guest
Hi Lisa I apologise if I have contravened the groups ideals However there are some of us for whom pain relief and sleep problems cannot be dealt with via herbal medicine. I am not alone in this; my son's fiancee has been an insomniac for most of her life and NOTHING helps; she has tried everything that is available in Britain in her search for a solution. I am a wheelchair user; exercise is impossible - even passive exercise leaves me in so much pain that I literally scream so that I HAVE to take narcotics because NO herbal medications have worked for me either for pain control OR sleep - both of which are essential if I am to have some quality of life. I cannot do many things that are 'normal' for most people due so many medical conditions that it is like a hypochondriacs dictionary - sadly I wish it was so. What soothes one thing sets of an impossible cycle of inflammation in another area. I DO everything in my power to balance things out but I am sorely limited I do watch my diet very rigorously and add supplements including: - Co-enzyme Q10 up to 150 mg per day (aid muscular pain) Creatine capsules 700 mg 1 capsule x 2 daily Amino Acids 1500 mg 1 tablet x 2 daily up to 6 tablets per day CAN be taken but I do not recommend that dose as this is supposed to be for athletes to use after work-outs. However it is up to you to see what works mega B vit. supplements besides Calcium, magnesium & zinc to calm the system Lavender oil to aid relaxation but this is often not helpful My vitamin and mineral supplements this month was in excess of $380 U.S which for me on a very limited income is an absolute fortune as I have to pay for my care as well as the mortgage etc. There is NO help available except that which I have found for myself - the MD's can only keep me comfortable. In this statement I am NOT being negative but have come to an acceptance of what is and is not possible for me. I have been ill for 36 years and physically disabled for more than 20 of them. Just like a 'stroke' victim, nerve damage cannot be healed if it is not treated; I was not treated for 27 years because the MD's would not admit that I had legitimate problems even though the consultant physicians stated that I DO have a problem. It took the MD's a further 3 years before they took notice of the consultants by which time the damage was done and the disabilities were irreversible. Guest guest
Hello Marion, Thanks for your message:-) Some body conditions require a total change of lifestyle, not just taking herbs. If exercise is impossible, you can still do the Total Body Cleanse, get onto a complete organic diet, avoid all foods with enzyme inhibitors, and ensure a balanced acid/alkaloid diet. I am certain that you would see a major improvement in your health if you did all these things, even if the nerve damage itself would not completely heal (and I bet that even that could show some healing! It might not be easy, but I'm sure it could be done. I live in the UK also, so am aware of the cost of these things. I've had to improve things gradually, simply due to the cost. But those improvements have meant a steady improvement in my health and livingness, so it's definitely been worth the money. If you haven't done so yet, get Doc's tape and listen to it. Then call him for a consultation. I'm sure he could help you! love Lisa - Marion Ghosh herbal remedies Wednesday, December 15, 2004 5:44 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - fibromyalgia / anyone know anything strong for pain Hi Lisa I apologise if I have contravened the groups ideals However there are some of us for whom pain relief and sleep problems cannot be dealt with via herbal medicine. Guest guest
Almonds are really easy to sprout, but pecans and walnuts, in the process of hulling, get broken in half, so it's questionable whether they are still in a state to " sprout " and have the enzyme inhibitors removed. I personally have just stayed away from walnuts and pecans for the most part since I found out about enzyme inhibitors. Guest guest
I'm curious...what is your fibromyalgia like? What parts of your body does it affect? Like I said, mine is my upper back and arms. It's not an everyday occurance, it's infrequent and inconsistent. But when it does flare up, it is debilitating. I will definately try the breathing thing, and once I have money I would like to try the cleansing thing that Doc has recommended. In the mean time, I am unsure of how effective the breathing thing will be when it acts up, but will definately give it a try. I have followed this practice for four years and have had no pain. I do not use any type of pain medication at all and refused pain meds following a difficult surgery recently. Here it is:Sit or lie comfortably and say to yourself, "I am breathing in. I am breathing out.I am breathing deep. I am breathing calm. I am breathing still. I am breathing ease. I smile to the pain. I release the pain. I am having a wonderful day. It is a very pleasant day......."As you say "breahing in" breathe in. Etc.I also sip a gentle green tea which is flavored with honey. Sometimes I add the juice of one lime to the tea.Remember to breathe deep at all times.Charlie the TunaFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
Is there any information how high the enzyme inhibitors are in walnuts or pecans? Would taking an enzyme when eating these nuts balance it out do you think? herbal remedies , " Kelli Bever " <kelli@c...> wrote: > > Almonds are really easy to sprout, but pecans and walnuts, in the > process of hulling, get broken in half, so it's questionable whether > they are still in a state to " sprout " and have the enzyme inhibitors > removed. Guest guest
When I do indulge in nuts that aren't sprouted, or anything else that has enzyme inhibitors (corn chips, pasta, etc), no matter how rare, I definitely take a plant enzyme when I eat, and an extra IC #1 to make sure nothing slows down on the way through!
