Dear Kathy,

Citronella and other things like eucolyptus and other oils deter fleas

but do not handle them for good on your pet. The best remedy I have found

in the flea capital of the U.S. (being Florida) is adding fresh garlic to

the pets food. Cats prefer dried and powdered to fresh but you can still

attain the same results with powdered garilc, just takes longer. Doc has a

Total Pet Nutrition that also has garlic in it and once you relly notice

that the fleas are totally gone this formula alone will keep up the

maintenance for your pets repelling fleas.

Garlic is also good for killing parasites in the animals bodies as well.

But fresh garlic is the most effective flea repellent and preventative I

have ever found. Using a garlic press use about 1 clover per each 10 lbs of

your pet. Cats should get about 1/4 a clove for every 8 lbs. At least this

is what has worked for my pets.

Love,

Zeb
