I'd like to find some of those big pickle jars..

 

Someone on here turned me on to freecycle.org. There is a local chapter in many areas. I joined the one where I live and amazingly enough a lady was offering 72 unused gallon glass pickle jars with lids still in the boxes for free! I went to her house and picked up a bunch. I'd recommend joining as people give away some really great stuff. You can also post things that you want and see if anyone has some they want to unload.
