Guest guest
Dear Friends, I just came across raw food recipes where it says to soak pecans and cashews for 2 hours. If you soak pecans, does it destroy the enzyme inhibitors and release the enzymes? I’ve read that pecans can’t be sprouted, so I thought that they just shouldn’t be consumed. And the nutrition in cashews is supposedly destroyed by the shell-removing process. I LOVE these 2 nuts, and I wish I could eat them somehow and have them be totally healthy. Someone said that because the 2 parts of pecans and walnuts are separated after shelling, that soaking doesn’t work. Am I confused?
