Dear All,

Just in case y'all are wonderin', these viruses that are coming through the list with "Doc" as the sender are not from me.

I do not have a virus on my computer and my virus definitions are always up to date.

Love,

Doc

To my knowledge, viruses are transported through attachments.

Not always, some of the newer viruses do not need an attachment,

some even have weblinks in them that once you clikc on the link it

automatically downloads the virus to your computer.

But it would reduce the number of potential harmful elements.

It stops them from coming through the list- they will be stripped before they ever email to anyone. This in turn will stop the spoofing to the list

It is true that a few very recent computer viruses are being passed

on by weblinks, but 1000's are passed on by attachments.

The Weblink viruses are not activated unless you in

your email. You can read about the different web links that this new

wave of viruses use at

http://www.techstuff.ca/archives/932.html

(If you get totally fed up with viruses and spyware, get a Macintosh.

There are only 25 million Mac users, so virus writers can don't

bother to write viruses for us. :-)
