Guest guest
they didn't notice the little bit of mold on the corner of the bread and they accidentally ate it? If you are truly concerned about this I would take a few acidophilus capsules and maybe eat some plain yogurt as a chaser;-). Gloria
Guest guest
Thanks for the welcomes and the responses, Mary and Sylvia! it helps to look at that information from the perspective that those are studies the big drug companies endorsed. and after looking at the email addy of the " doc " i saw that it was bogus. the pharmies are powerful and i'm sure they *hate* that they can't patent living things. i've read that that's the reason why stevia hasn't made it into the mainstream as a sweetener. and also because the artificial sweetener guys have lobbied against it as well because they would loose all sorts of money. on a completely different note, what would happen if someone was eating a sandwich and they didn't notice the little bit of mold on the corner of the bread and they accidentally ate it? cause i think that's what i just did and there is absolutely *no* information that turns up in google's search engine as to what to do in this situation. i've read that vinegar can kill mold so i just drank a cup of it. then i read that a baking soda solution can kill some molds as well, but i don't think i want to have those two meet up in my tummy. i just keep thinking of my innards as the perfect petry dish for mold and it's got me kinda worried. any help would be great! thanks, Jamie Lynn
Guest guest
Yup and maybe a dose of Total Tonic. LOL Most of us probably eat tiny amounts of mold every now and then without really noticing it. I try to check things before i eat them to be sure, but it does happen. Your tummy might get slightly upset or you may have a slight allergic reaction depending on your sensitivity to molds, but nothing serious as far as i know (I used to be exceptionally sensitive myself and can still smell out the smallest amount on anything .. sometimes when we go shopping, DH has me sniff the food to see if i can detect anything! I tell him i feel like one of those truffle smelling pigs LOL). Guest guest
Bread was the way in which penicillin was originally grown. It was found to be in the mold that grew on the bread; I doubt if a little mold on the bread will cause a problem.
