Guest guest
I would think if it was bottled the good enzymes/bugs in it would be killed. Not?? Guest guest
yep, you are right about that, but i am not sure what this stuff is, besides drinking it (carrot juice & mixed veggies juice) when i had no chance to juice myself while vacationing. it did a good number on the number 2 .....(O; i usually don't get that effect with regular juices from a bottle. rik > I would think if it was bottled the good enzymes/bugs in it would be killed. > Not?? > > Sharyn
Guest guest
I believe all bottled and canned juices are pasteurized, killing the enzymes. -- In herbal remedies , " Rik " <bliksemskater> wrote: > > > yep, you are right about that, but i am not sure what this stuff is, > besides drinking it (carrot juice & mixed veggies juice) when i had > no chance to juice myself while vacationing. it did a good number on > the number 2 .....(O; i usually don't get that effect with regular > juices from a bottle. rik > > > I would think if it was bottled the good enzymes/bugs in it would > be killed. > > Not?? > > > > Sharyn
Guest guest
Yes, heating the juices kills the enzymes. Raw is best. I have just started experimenting with fermented cabbage juice. It is supposed to increase the beneficial flora in the colon? intestines? I'm a bit hazy on the details :-) The instructions I had were to whiz up a head of chopped cabbage in the blender, fill it with water, put in into a glass jar and leave it in a closet for 3 days. Then drink 3-4 cups per day of the " juice " . It smelled up the house ;-) And it doesn't taste great, unless you like cabbage a lot. But it sure was a great laxative :-) I don't know yet if there is a long-term benefit, I just had my first drink of it yesterday. herbal remedies , " tempo33x " <tempo33x> wrote: > > > I believe all bottled and canned juices are pasteurized, killing the > enzymes. > > > > > -- In herbal remedies , " Rik " <bliksemskater> > wrote: > > > > > > yep, you are right about that, but i am not sure what this stuff > is, > > besides drinking it (carrot juice & mixed veggies juice) when i > had > > no chance to juice myself while vacationing. it did a good number > on > > the number 2 .....(O; i usually don't get that effect with regular > > juices from a bottle. rik
