Guest guest
Francine...It can be done in your oven at 100 degrees , no higher. Get a oven thermometer . Your oven turned off will likely be close to that temp...Mary O - " Francine " <franciee <herbal remedies > Thursday, November 11, 2004 11:19 AM Herbal Remedies - Dehydrater > > > Is there any other way to dehydrate food besides using a dehydrator. > thank you

A web search of " dehydrator plans " would turn up many interesting ways to dehydrate without an electrical appliance. A box, some screening, a sun-filled window and some cheesecloth to keep off any bugs would suffice for an indoor dehydration " unit " . It's tougher in the winter with less daylight, but not impossible.
