Guest guest
My dog, Max is a Stafford dog mixed. I got him from the pound. He was doing well until he was around a year old. He started to develop ear infections and patchy hair losses. I took him to the vet which cost me a few hundred bucks to get his ears cleaned. I found another vet who told me to clean its ears myself and applied some antibiotic, antifungal medication on in its ears which totally got rid of it. I noticed my dog tends to have more earwax that other dogs. I discovered later that my dog, Max maybe allergy to wheat and corn in his diet. His ear condition got better when I eliminated the wheat and corn from his diet. However, his constant itching and scratching himself stays the same. I bathed him sometimes with tea tree oil which helps a bit. He has bad odor and his body odor comes back in just a few hours after a thorough bath. I hope someone knows what is ailing Max. The vet has not been much help.
Guest guest
Hi, Our dog had some similar issues. Never had an ear infection and then about two years ago he got one and we could not get rid of it. Around the same time he got what the vet called elephant skin. He lost all his hair in the affected areas and was fatigued and very unhappy. After 100's of dollars at the vet I took matters in to my own hands. We started putting colloidal silver in his water and sprinkled MSM on his food. After about two weeks of this his skin started to heal. It took about three months for his skin to return to normal and the hair to grow back but now you would not even know that he had been ill. He is nine years old and is once again acting like a two year old. Since we started with the colloidal silver he has not had another ear infection. Needless to say, we have not been back to the vet! Good luck Teresa My dog, Max is a Stafford dog mixed. I got him from the pound. He was doing well until he was around a year old.

Guest guest
A few months back when we got a new puppy, she had a ton of intetinal issues and had chronic diarrhea as well as a horrible cough, we used nothing but herbs and tonics on her and she got much better (as did the older puppy who got sick from her). Both dogs (puppies) were itching constantly though. We added Cod liver oil to their morning feeding as well as one probiotic cap every morning for about 2 weeks and now continue to do so about 2 to 3 times a week. They dont have chronic itchies anymore and both of their coats are exceptionally shiny. We also found that periodic doses of Willard Water helps to keep them well and happy. Hope this helps some ) Sylvia herbal remedies , " itchybitten " <sueyap@h...> wrote: > > > My dog, Max is a Stafford dog mixed. I got him from the pound. Guest guest
We used our 10PPM nasal spray on the dogs noses when they had the cough and runny nose and it helped them. However both dogs/puupies are large breed. One weighed 90 lbs at the time and the other about 30lbs. We used 2 " spritzes " on the larger pup and one on the smaller. The older/larger pup has been itching his ear recently and i was wondering it the colloidal might help (since we have spritzed our own ears, so now i'll have to try that. Guest guest
Hi Karen, Our dog is a 9 year old black lab who weighs about 75 pounds. We use 500 ppm on the colloidal silver. I started him on about 5 drops in every bowl of water and now I only give him about 3 drops in his morning bowl of water and the msm about every other or third day. He is much better. If I see any signs of illness I will immediately bump it all back up. Hope this helps.
