Hi All,

Just wanted to give a status report - today was the first day I dropped

everything and started Doc's total body cleanse - a totally raw, organic,

vegan diet with nothing but living foods. I haven't sprouted my grains or

nuts yet so all I ate today was veggies, fruit juices and the green stuff,

various tonics, remedies, etc. I just had the ginger-tea-drinking bath and

MAN am I tired!

I have to say at one point I didn't think I would make it thorugh the day

because I was so hungry at one point and just didn't feel like any more

veggies. In the afternoon I was exhausted and took a two hour nap which was

great, but afterwards I felt very faint, dizzy, etc. So, I had a light

dinner of salad and a lot of raw carrots and just told myself to be tough.

A few hours later I had this burst of energy. I feel lighter, I can think

more clearly already! I have already lost a few pounds I think and the best

part is that I went to my chiropractor and reflexology doctor today just to

get an adjustment and see how I was doing. he gave me a rating of " clear "

which means there is nothing getting worse and nothing new wrong with me.

This was a big win! The receptionist there told me I was " glowing " and

wanted to know about the program. Even though my kidney is still not

working yet I know it will start soon. Tonight I'm making the kidney tea and

tomorrow I start the kidney cleanse.

I've got some almonds soaking tonight also - does anyone know where you can

get the glass jars for soaking/sprouting? I could not seem to find these in

Whole Foods or my local supermarket.

I also bought a wonderful looking book called " The Raw Gourmet " . I'm

already having fun, and I told my boss at work to just " bear with me "

because so far I'm doing something or preparing to do something most all of

the day! However it's a great adventure!

Thanks guys, for helping me get the " guts " to do this program, I'm so glad I

did.

Hi Lane,

I don't quite understand: are you starting with the kidney cleanse (week 4)? Have you done week 1-3 already?

Anyhow, I totally hear you! I did week 1-3 about a month ago, and am now doing week 4. Today is day 3. I tell you, yesterday I was soooo exhausted!! I came home about 5:30pm and would have been totally happy if I could have gone to sleep right then! I did manage to go to bed about 10pm, and slept until 8am this morning! Very unusual for me LOL. Also, something I had also when doing week 1-3, I am again experiencing major (mis-) emotions for no apparent reason. The first day of this week 4 I also felt very hungry - I didn't have my Potassium Broth ready until late evening, and drank 3 cups of that as soon as it was ready LOL. Yesterday the hunger wasn't too bad, as I had a big lunch of raw, sprouted, cereal - yummy :-)

This is so wonderful, Lane! Hooray for you!

You should be able to get Mason jars for sprouting/soaking at any hardware

store. If not, you can always join your local Freecycle group

(www.freecycle.org) and ask for some. You'll get them for nothing.

And I love that book! Aren't the pictures gorgeous?!?!?

Hi, Lisa! Lane has to do the kidney cleanse on the first week

due to her non-functioning kidney. She also has to eat a 100% raw diet in

her case, whereas I don’t. I’m doing it with her. She

surprised me by starting yesterday, when we weren’t quite ready.

(Her kidney was bothering her and she was afraid to wait any longer.) I

had agreed to do it at the same time, so I woke up and had to start! What

an adventure! Yesterday was a very long day full of wild physical and

mental changes, but I LOVED it! And my body’s going, “YES!!!”

OK, gotta go, lots to do!!
