I may be wrong, I didn't think castor oil was good to take- it causes

diareah and man is it nasty. (My mw gave me some when I was in labor with

my ds and it wasn't picking up... never ever again will I consume that

stuff). I know it is good on the outside of the body. Anyway, just

curious, I have lots to learn.

However silly it may sound, castor oil is given for diarrhoea.

After its laxative effect it binds the bowel for a few day and lets it rest.

It was used for many years and yes it was used to induce labour as it is a safe means that avoids using artificial hormones. However it should be used with raspberry syrup that you can get from the pharmacy; this aids labour. Raspberry tea also is helpful for menstrual problems (so is juniper) and during pregnancy (NOT juniper)
