Guest guest
I've been giving garlic to my cat Princess for many years in small quantities and she never has fleas or gets ticks. She's 13 years old and still plays like a kitten. My dog gets it too with no adverse effects. I've recommended it for many of my patient's cats and dogs and have never had one of them complain, and we're talking dozens of animals here. On the off chance there was some truth to this I called my holistic vet who handles these things every day. His viewpoint and recommendation in dealing with literally tens of thousands of animals is that there is no truth to this, and he recommends garlic to all his dog and cat owners without reservation. His only aside was that you'd really have to go overboard to do some serious damage and a person would have to be an idiot to do this or they'd have to be the type who couldn't read the instructions on the label. I've given as much as nine whole cloves to my dog when deworming him with no adverse effects. My cat always get her daily dose in a powder form and you'd never know she was 13. She looks more like a 5 year old. You might want to trace this source of false information back to see if there is any vested interest group involved.
