Guest guest
Showering in chlorinated water poses as many concerns as actually drinking it. That's because when you take a hot shower your skin acts like a sponge, and soaks up chemicals in the water. One of these chemicals, chlorine, is added to water to keep us safe from waterborne pathogens. But it doesn't remove 100 percent of all contaminants, and it leaves byproducts in your water, such as trihalomethanes (THMs). Chlorine also bonds to skin and hair and can lead to dryness, itching, flaking, and hair discoloration. What's even more of a concern is chloroform, another byproduct of chlorinated water. Stepping into a hot shower exposes you to chloroform vapors, so you're not only bathing in it, you're breathing it deep into your lungs as well. I believe the solution is to remove the chlorine from your water before it gets in the air or on your skin. This can be achieved by using a high-quality shower filter. With your first " clean " shower, you will notice a difference in how your skin and hair feel. Sincerely, Julian Whitaker, MD " Get off your ass and take your government back.
