Guest guest
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if the goitrogenic compound of spinach and kale were destroyed after the fermentation process. I am well aware of the nutritional benefits of both these veggies and do enjoy them, but with having thyroid problems, I try not to consume them on a daily basis. I don't take synthetic vits/mins and normally get my " multi " from whole foods such as the green superfood blends. My only problem with this is that they all contain some form of goitrogens. I recently found a product from Body Ecology that has spinach and kale, but it seems to be fermented (will call the company to double check) It seems like it would be great for pH balance and possible intestinal health as well. (not so sure about the probiotics being active though) Does anyone know of this product? Vitality Greens https://shop.bodyecology.com/prodinfo.asp?number+BE005 Any opinions on that and the fermentation of goitrogenic foods? or Any other product recommendations? Thanks for your help:) ~Tara
