Around here in NC a local chef is known for making honeysuckle ice cream in the spring time. He takes a cup of blossoms and , as well as I cane remember puts sugar and water over them a cup of each? and warms the them and then strains the flavored syrup, and continues on with a standard ice cream recipe. People seem delighted with it. As a child , most people in the south would pull the center out of the blossoms and suck the *honey*, what with cold drinks available these days this may be a forgotten pastime.
