Guest guest
If people have diabetes of pre-diabetic conditions, glucosamine is probably not a good idea. My blood glucose levels dropped after I stopped toaking Glucosamine. I saved the quote below, with URL. Alobar " Glucosamine can increase fasting blood sugar levels and worsen glucose tolerance. " These side effects occur because glucosamine activates a metabolic pathway in the body that leads to the deterioration of insulin-producing cells in the pancreas and causes insulin resistance, two factors associated with diabetes. http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/arthritis/a/Glucosamine.htm On 10/24/06, snickers2261 <long.robin wrote: > my husband has arthritis and he takes Glucosamine and MSM, also > drinking Himalayan Goji juice. > ~Robin
