Guest guest
Please give us the correct name of the meds because prednisone/prednizone is given to people with thyroid problems. If you can keep your daughter in a warm bath and have a steamer going, the steam atmosphere is so very good for a child with croup and you should keep a check on her temperature, sometimes when they feel cold, the temperature is actually high. Guest guest
Please do not bombard your 3.5 year old with all these things, get the advice of someone who has great knowledge of vitamins and children - DO NOT buy your 3.5 year old drops with alcohol in them, particularly as she is taking medication. Luv Marianne I am not sure if this is an allergic reaction to the meds, but for croup, lots of vitamin C, Colostrum is good to boost immunity, elderberry will help cough, Quericitin also helps with any allergic reactions as well as colds and allergies. Nettle leaf helps boost immunity. There is a product called Virastop at the healthfood store (or the vitaminshoppe) that will help with the virus. Olive Leaf Extract is an excellent antiviral as well, so are grapefruit seed extract drops. If you buy drops, get ones without alchohol. Guest guest
Actually, I'm pretty sure Pred is a steroid used in the treatment of problems such as pneumonia, croup, stubborn sinus infections, etc. It has many side effects. You can look it up just by doing a general google search with the name and side effects and you'll get a dozen sites with the long list of problems it can cause. Steroids are tricky, especially on withdrawal. , marianne2406 wrote: > > > Please give us the correct name of the meds because prednisone/prednizone is > given to people with thyroid problems. > > If you can keep your daughter in a warm bath and have a steamer going, the > steam atmosphere is so very good for a child with croup and you should keep a > check on her temperature, sometimes when they feel cold, the temperature is > actually high. > > Luv Marianne > > GOT A 3 1/2 YEAR OLD THEY JUST DIAGNOSD HER TODAY WITH CROUP--- PUT HER > ON SOME COUGH MED AND SOME SORT OF PREDNIZONE---- PREDNODOZON OR > SOMETHING LIKE THAT SHES LETERALLY SCREAMING THAT SHES FREEZING THEY VE > TURNED FURNACE UP HOT IN TRAILOR WRAPPED IN BLANKETS STILL MORE THAN > CRYING ALMOST SCREAMING " IM COLD " I DONT TRUST DOCTORS BUT > GRANDDAUGHTER (MOTHER) IS ASKING WHAT TO DO I TOLD HER TO LAY OFF > MEDS FOR RIGHT NOW AND TRY TO CALM HER DOWN BUT ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE > SHE JUST KEEPS UP THE SCREAMING " IM COLD " COULD IT BE AN > ALLERGIC REACTION TO PRED HELP > > > > >
