Guest guest
Hi, I am new here and enjoying reading all the posts. I am looking to help out my husband that has hypertension. He's young, fit, works in construction so gets a lot of exercise, but unfortunately comes from a family with history of this. I have done my research on the web regarding this matter and I am not getting very far. I came across the DASH diet plans, use of garlic, etc. I was wondering if anyone had this and was helped through supplementation or has any advice. Thanks and Be Well! Guest guest
Hello from Anne in Conn. a non professional. " From what I understand: Hypertension is another name for High Blood Pressure. High Blood Pressure is an indication of how fast the Heart is able to pump blood around the body. Sodium can cause this so follow the DASH Diet. Avoid red meat and processed meats at all costs. Do not use buy or eat any white flour or white sugar at all. But the best tip I have ever heard and is why I reply to this question is: The best way to lower Blood Pressure is to eat more fruits and vegetables esp. raw. Tomatoes are a good choice. Any fresh fruit or veggie at all will help to lower blood pressure. A. (has sowmthing to do with a substance in fruit similar to Asprin; so pack his lunch box with fresh fruit; dried fruit is also good.) a. , " colbyjack98 " <colbyjack98 wrote: > > Hi, > I am new here and enjoying reading all the posts. > I am looking to help out my husband that has hypertension. > He's young, fit, works in construction so gets a lot of exercise, but > unfortunately comes from a family with history of this. > I have done my research on the web regarding this matter and I am not > getting very far. > I came across the DASH diet plans, use of garlic, etc. > I was wondering if anyone had this and was helped through > supplementation or has any advice. > Thanks and Be Well! > Tara >
