Guest guest
http://www.immunesupport.com/chat/forums/message.cfm?id=958169 & B=FM Wackiest thing a doctor told me was......10/11/06 06:50 AM Before I was diagnosed with FMS/CFS they thought I may have Muscular Dystrophy. After one year of testing and seeing a specialist I was very frustrated and questioned the specialist and wanted answers. I asked " Why it has been so long with no answers to if I have Muscular Dystrophy " . His responce was " Well, It has been one year since I have been seeing you " . " I can rule out two of the types of Muscular Dystrophy's because after this year you would be dead right now or clinging to life in a hospital bed " . " The other types I can't comment on right now " . Thanks ,Bruinz ---- steviegal Doc said maybe I was " next evolved generation " !10/11/06 08:14 AM I've had severe CFS (caused primarily by adrenal insufficiency) for 4 years, but prior to that I had a rare as of yet un-named visual condition. It causes a " snow " like effect in my visual field like you'd see if you were watching an old TV set. I see it whether my eyes are closed or open. So, over the years I have seen more than a dozen opthalmologists, neurologists and neuro-opthalmologists had MRI's, CT scans, EEG's and every eye test probably known to man! The general consensus is that there's nothing organically wrong with my eyes but it is something in the nerve impulses causing continuous occular migraines but without the pain. But one doctor stands out in his diagnosis......he was a Neuro-Op in San Diego. After examining me and reviewing my tests he said.... " Well, I have no earthly idea what is wrong with you. Maybe you're actually the next generation of evolved human and you're picking up some kind of radio or telemetry signal through your brain. Maybe in a few generations everyone will have this ability. " Now...isn't THAT comforting! ---- calbeachgal I went in with my ribs hurting so badly that it was painful to take a breath. He couldn;t find anything wrong so he said I must have rolled over in bed on a SHOE!!! I told him I didn't sleep with shoes, did he? ---- janny54 Head Doctor10/11/06 01:00 PM Years ago, I was having migraines all the time and very painful periods that lasted 3 weeks of the month. So my doctor says I need to see a neurologist to see if there was anything neurologically that was causing the pain. So he set me up with a very well known neurologist and I went to my appointment. After about an hour of tests and talk, he says " Well, you're a nervous person! " On top of this, it cost me $500!
