Guest guest
I have a good remedy for a cold or Flue like that. cured me in about 30 minutes or so. I made it up myself based on some of Hulda Clarks ingredients. Requires 3 ingredients 1 - some real good cough drops with menthol herbs and liquid honey in them. the ones I got were from germany but some other brands will work. 2 - at least one ounce of whole cloves 3 - black walnut tincture from green hulls. How to prepare. Take about 4 or 5 of the cough drops and crush them with pliers a bit then dissolve them in about a 1/4 cup of warm water. Use only warm water so you dont evaporate all the menthol away. Take a deep sniff of it. Next take about 1 ounce or more of whole cloves and boil them in about 1 1/2 cups of water. Its good to inhale the fumes from the cloves while they are boiling on the stove. You want to boil them long enough to make nice strong clove water but not too long so all the volatiles are boiled away. It looks like some brownish water when it gets strong. Next after cloves are boiled strain out the water into a big mug mix together with the cough drop juice and let it cool to a very hot drinking temperature. Sniff some more of it while its cooling. As soon as its at hot drinking temperature then add 3 or 4 dropper fulls of Black walnut tincture and stir. Drink this mixture nice and hot as quickly as you can before it cools down. It actually tastes pretty good. Especially when its hot. Not so good when its cold. You should feel all better in about 30 minutes to an hour this drink is a major parasite killer along with anti virals. I made it up several years ago when I was really sick for about 2 weeks. After I drank this I was all better in about 30 minutes. And rather surprised. I drank another batch about 2 hours later jsut to be sure. Try it it works for many people . I tried it on my neighbors several times Moderator's Note: Vitamin C is antiviral. Take in steady measured doses of Vitamin C until bowel tolerance. You should feel better as the vitamin C takes hold. If you start feeling poorly again take more Vitamin C and you should feel better again. Vitamin C really works. Dr. Klenner used it to cure polio in the 1940's. That is how well it works on viruses. Please understand that when you have a virus sometimes it is possible to take in large quantities of vitamin C as it is used up pretty fast in the body. If you need to read up on vitamin C protocol go to www.doctoryourself.com he has a wealth of information there. Donna.NeverSurrender wrote: > I just got a horrible cold. Guest guest
--- Normally, I don't get colds & flu and I put that down to a healthy diet but more importantly - avoiding junk/denatured " so called " food. This past week I was under attack from a quite powerful strain of cold virus so I decided to use my usual cure of Echinacea herbal extract which is alcohol free (not a tincture) + 25mg of Zinc every 4 hours + vitamin C. Now I usually take 1g of C every 4 hours but this time I wanted to zap this virus pronto so I took 1g of vitamin C every hour for 12 hours. The next day I was free of any cold symptoms and amazingly (as I thought) my bowels were ok, i.e. no looseness. The day after that, the cold symptoms did return in a mild form and I feel sure that I should have continued the vitamin C regime for another day so as to finish off this invasion of my body. Ray. p.s. It's also inportant to avoid *all sugar* as it will feed the virus!

Guest guest
When I have the “winter junk”- ie the sore throat and excessive sinus down the back of the throat, the pre strep stuff- I gargle with Vinager, and swallow a bit. I heard once that it changes the PH of the tissues temporarily, thus making it uninhabitable to whatever critters are taking up residence and making me miserable. It clears the throat, and after two or three gargles, the problems seem to go away. I add to that some ginger tea (a ginger root costs about 50 cents at the grocery store and can last for months; take about a thumb size piece, boil it, and sip. Really good for you. A Korean lady told me of this one; it makes a really good winter tonic…for several things it is an excellent tea, with no ill effects.) An Ecchinacea tea or the pills is also excellent, if I cant find ginger; or want to use it instead. Both are among my “first Line” home treatments. Ecchinacea and garlic are my “antibiotics”. If I buy the herbal pills, I get the one which also has Goldenseal, as that seems to help me as an “antinflamatory.” ( Ginger isn’t a problem to take for a while; but Ecchinacea and Golden Seal are things I only use for about 6 weeks at a time…don’t overdo anything. Tons of vitamin C containing stuff, or the pills of course. I believe that there is no way that I can “overdose” on oranges and lemons or grapefruits. GARLIC and hot peppers. These are in my daily diet anyway. I cant overdose on garlic; although I do need to be a bit judicious with hot peppers. Eating 10 serranos at a sitting, or seven Jalapenos can cause a bit of stomach discomfort, and a hot seat on the toilet. For a really sore throat, I have boiled cayenne peppers, made a dropper bottle full, with a bit of vinager. A few drops down the throat really do get rid of the sore throat. For the congestion, lobelia helps. But the hot peppers- ie jalapenos, serranos, piquins etc- are my “decongestants”, and break up and loosen the stuff in my chest. I am certainly not “prescribing” to anyone, but those are the things I have done for years; and they are very effective for my “symptoms.” Michael On Behalf Of V Saturday, September 30, 2006 7:33 PM Re: Help with a cold remedy I have a good remedy for a cold or Flue like that. cured me in about 30 minutes or so. Guest guest
Someone else post reminded me- Zinc. Too much Zinc and I get nauseated. But right up to that level, is extremely valuable in getting over the flu or a cold; as it seems to really quicken, along with Vitamin E, cell repair- ie the body heals physically quicker. That’s one of those that I use when I am really ill, to get well really quick.
