Diagnosis/Wild goose chases

Dear all,

I have been trying for some time to find what is wrong with me, and it

is turning into one big wild goose chase. I have a great many

symptoms, such as depression, mood swings, lack of concentration,

lethargy etc. - all of which seem to be classic symptoms of just about

every disorder known to man. None of the remedies I have tried so far

seem to work - it's as though there's one crucial thing wrong with me

that I haven't identified yet, which is stopping all my progress. Only

I don't have the time, money or energy to go on using trial and error

to find what it is. Can anyone suggest any disciplines that are useful

for diagnosing such problems? I've tried iridology; as well as muscle

testing for allergies/sensitivities and neither of those seemed to turn

up anything useful. Any other ideas?

Thanks

Hello friend ... I'll tell you what did some 14 aback (for what it's worth) for

5 days all I ate was apples, red ones, green ones, and yellow ones (you get the

picture)

All I drank was mineral water (this takes some doing)

After a day or two of this regime one feels like ---- !

On the third day ya start to feel better.

By the fifth day you feel on top of the world physically & mentally so obviously

(in my case) some food items and caffeine were upsetting my equilibrium.

I don't know your age or whether you are on meds or such like so this may not be

for you.

I found sugar to be my biggest enemy - followed by caffeine.

I now follow a diabetic diet (I'm not diabetic) and see sugar as a poison ...

yeah ok I do drink tea - I'm English god damn it, but it is pure Ceylon!

Good luck! - Ray. p.s. you're on the right group!

Thanks for your reply Ray. :) A naturopath said I'm sensitive to

sugar, wheat, coffee and yeast so I avoided all those for a while and

it didn't help. Though avoiding sugar helps a little bit so I still do

that (when I don't fall into temptation). Most likely I will have to

avoid them all if I'm going to get better, but I think there is some

other issue I'm missing which is stopping all progress. I was hoping

someone would know of a discipline that's good for diagnosing these

things. I heard iridology is good but all that turned up was that I

have too much energy and I'm not using any of it (strange for a person

who's always tired!) :)

Oh well. The search continues.

THis is about par for course with undiagnosed Lyme Disease. Most

Dr's are too ignorant to recognize it, ditto for infectious disease

ducks, get tested through Igenix labs, go on a detox BEFORE you take

any antibiotics,etc.

From your post ..is it possible that it could be Candida that is

your problem? Have you been tested for that or tried to do a yeast

cleanse kit?? the other thing that comes to mind is hypothyroidism

or hypoglycemia??

Thanks both for your replies. Lyme disease does share some of my

symptoms, (like I said, everything does :) ) but I read a full

description and I don't think it matches me that closely.

I got a fasting glucose test done by my regular doctor (for what that's

worth) and according to that my thyroid is supposedly OK. Blood sugar

must have something to do with it though - I feel 'unreal'/foggy-headed

all the time and it gets much worse if I eat sugar or refined grains -

though it does seem to get worse if I eat ANYTHING, so maybe I have

some sort of reactive hypo/hyperglycaemia. Whichever one makes you

super skinny (I couldn't put on weight if I tried!) How does one get

tested for that? Or for candida? I did consider candida as well but

don't know how to get tested for it. That's another possibility that

I'll have to look into I guess.

Thanks
