Guest guest
Authorities agree the average American Diet no longer provides needed nutrition JoAnn Guest Feb 12, 2006 18:05 PST --- Authorities now agree that the average American Diet no longer provides the needed nutrition for a foundation of good health. Forty percent of middle class American children are severely malnourished, and adults fare far worse, upwards to 90%. ( " Healing Nutrients " , p 42-52, Patrick Quillin) Half of all the foods eaten in America are overly processed convenience foods known to have little if any nutrient value. (Journal of the American Dietetic Association, vol. 81, p.35, July 1982, & vol. 86 p.339, March 1986. ) and it's worse now. OK! what is food? I'll bet you thought you already knew what food was: Anything that you could swallow that tasted good. Well you wouldn't be on this page if you didn't at least want to learn what Dr. Joel Robbins says, so I will pretty much quote him verbatim.(That's Latin for " If you don't like it, don't blame me " ) ... (If you leave now go straight to IGNORANCE.) MAN AND HIS NATURALLY RIGHT DIET Man was created by God. Man's anatomical and physiological make-up dictates that a certain food type was designed specifically for him - fruit. God gave man fruit to eat: (and if you leave now you are destined to LIVE in IGNORANCE.) " Then God said, " I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth, and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground - everything hat hs the breath of life in it - I give every green plant for food " Gen.1:29,30 (NIV) Hey! What higher authority could you want? This food had to meet certain requirements in order to satisfy man's nutritional needs and thus maintain health and life. The requirements are: 1. Supply needs of caloric (glucose) value. -energy 7. Must be nontoxic. -toxins rob energy 2. Must have protein adequacy. -building structure 8. Must have sensory appeal. -pleasing to all 5 senses 3. Must supply needs for essential fatty acids. -building structure, -hormones 9. Must be edible in the raw state. -processing depletes food of nutritional value -we were not given food processors 4. Must be adequate in minerals. -building structure, -catalysts 10. Must be digested easily when eaten alone ......or combined properly. 5. Must be adequate in vitamin content. -catalysts 11. Must be digested and assimilated efficiently. -high energy return 6. Must be water-sufficient. -used for every chemical process in the body. 12. Must have alkaline ash metabolic reaction. -with few exceptions Fruit meets all of man's nutritional requirements as well as his anatomical and physiological dictates regarding his acquiring and eating of food. Do you eat JUNK FOOD or REAL FOOD ? Here is the test: 1. Is your food of the plant kingdom (grown by nature) ? 2. Can it be eaten and digested by you without processing in any way ? 3. Can you make an entire meal out of just that one substance and ......thoroughly enjoy it ? If you can't say yes to all three, then your food is JUNK or worse, it may be hurting you. CLUE: If it has a label, it was processed by a chemist, and is NOT food. More on this later................Ok just a thought here.. have you ever wondered how long the ketchup had been in that bottle in the restaurant or on your shelf (WITHOUT refrigeration!) ? Or how about the white stuff in the can you use to grease your frypan...how old is it? (What is it ?), Why doesn't it go bad.? I suggest that if what you eat won't rot when exposed to air, it's not food. (Now just because it will rot, doesn't mean that it is good food, see above). And here is the technical explanation: Since Hydrogenated Fats (chemicals) cannot spoil, (nor will they support life), they are used extensively in the processing of foods for longer shelf life. Some examples: margarine, cooking fats, processed cheese, lard, and peanut butter. Oh NO! not Cheeze & Peeny Butter ! I mean doesn't it all start to make sense once you put a $ sign on it? What is the grocer's greatest enemy? ENZYMES ! The more enzymes a foodhas, the faster it spoils. Do you know that the food industry is lobbying for the right to sell irradiated food ? Sure - - Think of theshelf life such " FOOD " would have. http://www.juiceguy.com/Food-that-is-not-good-for%20you.shtml JoAnn Guest mrsjo- www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/Diets
