Used to be that what was happening in other countries wasn't that

important to what happened in our own, at least in Canada and the USA. I am

getting old; now if we ignore what is going on elsewhere, we live to regret

it. The world has 'shrunk' and many governments now live in each other's pockets

it seems - and others push & shove other countries like children in a

play-yard.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this.
