Just remember our markets are " consumer-driven " ! We can do one of two things. We can sit back on our tush and circulate the types of emails that I've just read OR we can patronize our natural/whole foods markets! Oh! You may have to pay whole dollar for that can of tuna! Poor dear! I have a question for you. Just how much are you paying for your goverment owned and operated " healthcare " ?? Split the difference. I guarantee you will come out ahead. There may be a little effort involved and you may have to travel several miles in the process but I guarantee you'll sleep better at night knowing that your foods are as PURE as they can possibly be! Europeans have met this challenge head on,...the statistice speak for themselves. Where were we when Greenpeace was " campaigning " in the eighties and ninties against rBGH hormones being added to our milk and meats???? Our lackadaizical attitudes have led us right into this web of deceit and until every one of us becomes an " activist " there won't be much difference. As long as the centerforfoodsafety and Greenpeace are viewed as operating outside of " the law " , we will be subject to this type of " food tyranny " ! I can never forget and always remember that my own situation was primarily 'caused' by hydrogenated oils and noone will ever convince me otherwise. Happy Labor Day!! Guest guest
Dear Joann Lighten up! The posting I forward to the group was comical not satirical... the graphics got cut off so it came out a little dry!!! I'll give you that much, but it doesn't give you the go-ahead to make so many assumptions about what I personally eat or where I shop for food! The truth of the matter is that nobody knows for sure who anybody is on the other side of the cyber wall or what their real life style is! I appreciate and agree with most of your posting and find them very helpful! Unfortunately health like anything else in this world has two prerequisite, knowledge and means! The knowledge part is easy; the means part is a bitch! Let's take the congress/Senate first and we'll talk in December! LOL!!!! Love and Light to You! Dear Domingo, As you may have guessed, 'chain letters', especially those that encourage unhealthy eating irk me tremendously. The sarcastic comments weren't really about anyone in particular but the result of years of hearing excuses about why it is impractical to eat organic. I might add that I agree with your comments about cyberspace. This is pathetically true...anyone or his brother has a outlet for their opinion, even if there isn't an ounce of truth in the whole entire rhetoric. Actually, I laughed later when I read my message. I tossed it off in a hurry and you know how that is! :-) Anyway, thanks for the vent. :-) I didn't want to offend anyone really! Although,I know they are written this way, however, somehow I don't find these postings humorous. I think health is serious and it shouldn't be taken lightly. Perusing through this type of nonsense to me is very frightening....the chocolate and dessert part actually freaked me out! As you may have guessed it is not easy for me to suppress my feelings about health. It is a life and death matter to me. I cringe every time I see a pharmaceutical ad on TV! I try to keep the mute button handy so I don't hear the part about uncle bob and aunt martha! It is all so ludicrous! What kind of fools do they think we are. Obviously very big ones... btw, I like the pic in your profile. Now I find that funny! :-) Hugs, JoAnn
