I am brand new member to this group and am in fact reading my first bunch of

mail right now. I have the bacteria MRSA and have had for several years. After

an outpatient surgery on my knee, I had some how contacted MRSA yet was told

daily by one of the surgeons when I called in (nothing sounds that abnormal to

me) until five days later I had to have a rescue squad take me to the hospital,

the disease was so through my body it took over three weeks to bring me out of

it. However, my family had been told they did not think I was going to make it.

Before a year had passed the infection just reappeared in my knee, and from the

time I felt the first pain from it till I was once again hospitalized ( I didn't

even feel sick) but they told my daughter in the emergency room if my cell

count was as high as 10,000 they would have to keep me, mine came back at

88,000 needless to say I spent many more weeks hospitalized and still was sent

home on an IV after once again coming

close to dying they say.

My concern is I was not made aware that this is still transferable by any

means, one infectious disease doctor told me the first time I would be cured

after all the antibiotics they were giving me, yet it returned for no known

reason, since that time which is now over two years they have kept me on a low

dose (800mg.) daily to prevent its re-turn and each time I have tried to stop

taking the Bactrim I have become sick after just a few days. Now for two months

in a row I have had a fairly bad case of bronchitis I guess, lots of infection

in my lungs at least. The first time they stopped my bactrim and still it took

three courses of what they called a big gun antibiotic before it got better then

I resumed the bactrim, a few weeks later the congestion started all over again

same regimen, only my Dr. had stopped practicing her private practice and her

partner put me on Z Pac as they called it. But would not renew it & I don't

even know her or that I want her for my

Dr. so I just went back on the bactrim but its been another month and still at

least once or twice a day I find I still have this infection. Is their a cure

for this MRSA and am I still putting my loved ones or anyone at risk for this?

If anyone knows any of these answers please get back to me as soon as possible

as I still don't have a new doctor. And am on so many meds now I joined this

group in search of a way I can decide on my own to replace some of the drugs

with either better nutrition or vitamin, mineral or ever herbal therapy. Thanks

so much

Be sure to read all information about the use of garlic (allicin) to kill MRSA.

That would be my first order of business--to take it at the highest possible

dose and see a doctor or health practitioner that can guide you through this.

Allopathic doctors (standard medical doctors) do not know about this treatment

so don't expect that they can help. You will have to find an alternative health

practitioner to help. Best of luck. Maybe someone in the group knows of a

doctor that could direct you along these lines.
